Civic Fee Ledger · Secrets Of Wisdom

Privacy Policy

Effective September 25, 2026 · Last updated September 25, 2026
Short version: we collect the email you give at checkout so we can deliver the book and support you, plus basic site analytics. While we run ads, a Meta Pixel measures whether they work, unless you opt out (a notice asks you, and a footer link lets you change your mind). Payments are handled by our merchant of record — we never see your full card details. We don’t sell your data. Email support@civicfeeledger.com to access or delete your information.

1.Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Secrets Of Wisdom (“we”) handles personal information in connection with the Civic Fee Ledger website and book at civicfeeledger.com. We collect as little as possible — essentially what we need to deliver the Book and support you.

2.Information we collect

We collect:

We do not collect or store your full payment-card details — those go directly to our merchant of record (see Section 4).

3.How we use information

We use personal information to: deliver the Book and any updates you are entitled to; provide customer support and respond to inquiries; send transactional messages (receipts, delivery, material changes to the Book for subscribers); comply with legal and tax obligations; secure, operate, and improve the site; and, unless you opt out, measure whether our own advertising works (Section 7). We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it to advertise anyone else’s products, and we do not buy data about you from third parties.

4.Payment processing (merchant of record)

Purchases are handled by our merchant of record, Link, LLC (f/k/a Lemon Squeezy LLC), who processes your payment and collects billing details as an independent controller of that data. Their handling of your information is governed by their privacy policy: https://www.lemonsqueezy.com/privacy. We receive from them only the order and contact details needed to deliver the Book and keep records.

5.Service providers we share with

We share personal information only with vendors that help us run the business — our merchant of record, email/delivery provider, and hosting provider — under agreements that limit their use to providing services to us. Advertising measurement data (Section 7) is shared with Meta Platforms, Inc. under its data-processing terms. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our legal rights. We do not otherwise share or sell personal information.

6.Cookies

Our own pages set no cookies of their own. Site analytics run on Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not track individuals across sites. Checkout takes place on pages operated by our merchant of record, which may set the functional cookies needed to complete a purchase under its own privacy policy. The only third-party cookies on our pages are those set by the Meta Pixel described in Section 7, and only if you have not opted out. Your opt-out choice itself is stored in your browser’s local storage, not in a cookie.

7.Advertising measurement and your opt-out

We advertise the Book on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram). To learn whether those ads lead to sample views or purchases, we use the Meta Pixel on our pages and Meta’s Conversions API from our server, as described in Section 2. Meta uses this data to report results to us and, under its own policies, may use it to improve its advertising services and to show you our ads on its platforms. Meta’s handling of this data is governed by its privacy policy at facebook.com/privacy/policy.

Opt out at any time. A notice on your first visit lets you decline advertising measurement; you can also decline or change your choice later with the “Do not share my visits for advertising” link in the footer of every page. When you have opted out, the Pixel is not loaded and no advertising event is sent from your browser. This is how we honor “Do Not Sell or Share” requests under the California CCPA/CPRA; we also honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal, which has the same effect. Opting out never affects your ability to buy or use the Book. Meta offers its own controls at facebook.com/adpreferences.

8.Data retention

We keep order and contact records for as long as needed to provide the Book and updates, and thereafter as required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes. Support correspondence is kept only as long as useful for support and record-keeping.

9.Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR and the California CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any right, email support@civicfeeledger.com; we will respond as required by applicable law. You will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. California residents may also opt out of the sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as described in Section 7.

10.International transfers

We and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers. By using the site or purchasing the Book, you understand your information may be processed in these locations.

11.Children

The site and Book are intended for business use by adults and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

12.Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy from time to time; the current version is always posted here with its effective date. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this page.
